Tangle and Things: A marketplace for artists and transcendental materials.

As part of CALL IT MUSEUM, buddy.art (Magnus Liistamo) will a set up a marketplace consisting of material submitted from artists.

How can an artist’s work and resources contribute to someone else’s artistic process? What techniques or skills can be shared to strengthen the collegial exchange? It could be a truck to rent, a lens to sell or sharing a technique such as mushroom cultivation.

Tangle and Things is a setting that unites the experience of, on the one hand, a desire to explore the social function of art, and on the other, a continuous dialogue around its material practice. By creating a place for exchange between artists, the relationship between material needs, production and knowledge transfer is explored, using a combination of physical flea markets and a digital platform. A place where what is sold, exchanged or borrowed creates opportunities for conversations about artistic work and knowledge exchange.
