Index proudly presents the newly formed Index Teen Advisory Board for 2018/19: Daniel Musirima (19, Solna), Hannes Schelin (18, Huddinge), Ida Ippolito (18, Skärholmen), Niko Erfani (18, Liljeholmen), Isabelle Gillborg (18, Saltsjöbaden), Mika Sundell (17, Årsta) and Maria Muhoza Mututsi (18, Solna).
A sincere thank you to all the people who applied, with over 90 applications this year. The new Teen Advisory Board was chosen to form a dynamic group of young people with differing interests, life experiences, backgrounds and passions. The new board members each reflected on youth culture and art in unique and interesting ways; ranging from interests in choreography, activism, architecture, language and text, punk aesthetics and painting. We welcome the new board to Index and look forward to working together.

There is a demanding cacophony of voices questioning our collective futures. Ecological disaster, inter-species collaboration, cyborgian manifestations, from these new and altered states we ask – which words formulate our futures? Drawing on the legacy of the artistic manifesto as a means of making demands of the future, the exhibition unpacks possible futures with local emerging artists from the Index learning program alongside a film program from internationally established artists.
