Preview: Madeleine Andersson

Madeleine Andersson (Jönköping, 1993) works with research and artistic practices including criticality, humor and politics as part of the process. After observing the relationship between oil industry and sexual fixation, Madeleine Andersson opens a field of knowledge within the idea of degenerative knowledge production: in a system based on productivity, the concept of stupidity can be a channel to define a new language and performativity to address reality.
The exhibition is the result of a process of dialogue with two more institutions: O-Overgarden in Copenhagen and Kunsthall Trondheim. The three institutions plann different approaches to the work by Madeleine Andersson and the three presentations are understood as steps on her research in process.
Her work has been presented at Documenta Institute in Kassel, 35m3 in Prague, KH7 Artspace in Aarhus, HIAP in Helsinki and in SMAK in Ghent.
