Summer Stage: Ilja Karilampi and Max Ronnersjö

Ilja Karilampi and Max Ronnersjö present an afternoon with works and events on and around Index Summer Stage.

The afternoon will include a live show based on Karilampi’s weekly radio show Downtown Ilja (for Berlin Community Radio), together with an outdoor presentation of new works by the two artists, including strawberry paintings by Ronnersjö and an aluminum work by Karilampi.

Ilja Karilampi (born 1983 in Göteborg) is an artist and lives and works in Berlin and Stockholm. Exhibitions and projects include Komplot Brussels, 1857 Oslo, MoMA PS1 New York, Kunst-Werke Berlin, Marbriers 4 Geneva, Belenius/Nordenhake Stockholm, and Wilkinson Gallery London. A future commissioned artwork will open at the new site of KTH and Karolinska in October 2016.

Max Ronnersjö (born 1984 in Stockholm) is an artist and educator living in Stockholm. He is the co-host of Index 19, a weekly series of events at Index – the Swedish Contemporary Art Foundation .
