This week, Index 19 continues with a screening “La riappropriazione della città” (Reappropriation of the City, 1977), a rarely seen film by Milanese radical architect, designer and publisher Ugo La Pietra. The screening is organized in conjunction with the workshop presentation Game Time, R-Lab, Royal Institute of Art Stockholm and the ongoing research project Pedagogies of Space at Index. “Game Time” is a two-day play event around the work of Oskar Hansen, 11 and 12 November, starting each day at 6pm.

He participated in exhibitions such as “Italy: The new domestic landscape”, Museum of Modern Art New York 1972, the Venice Biennale in 1970 and 1978, and the Triennale di Milano 1972. In the 1980s he was the editor of Domus magazine. In 2014, the Triennale Design Museum in Milano presented a survey of his work, Disequilibrating Design.

Index 19 is a weekly events series in Index’ front space. Presenting single works, films, readings and discursive events, the aim is to create a space for dialogue with our surrounding community and visitors. Index 19 is a flexible program initiative, with one night or returning events by international artists and Stockholm-based initiatives.
