Art journal Oberon, which is published in Copenhagen, will launch its third issue at Index 19. Guest edited by Australian artist duo Nova Milne and New Narrative theorist Robert Glück. The edition features contributions by: Brandon Brown, Philip Brophy, Claire Evans, Rob Halpern, Robert Glück, Adam Jasper, Boru O’brien O’Connell, Alexander Provan, Dorion Sagan, Jocelyn Saidenberg, Mark von Schlegell, Amelia Stein, Alexander Tovberg, and Jameson Webster with Marcus Coelen.

Oberon is an occasional periodical that sees guest-edited sections of texts – short stories, poems, articles and long-form essays – bridged by sequences of images that both illustrate and freely associate beyond the source material of the texts. Each edition is supported by an annotated index that draws together and further elaborates on these connections. In this way Oberon is a publication that is constantly being drawn back to a process of association; of identifying separte elements and placing them next to each other, to see what happens, to afford new meaning and relationships to emerge and shimmer, even if only for a moment. Oberon is published in Copenhagen, where they have recently opened an exhibition space and wine bar called Peryton.

Index 19 is a series in Index’ front space. Presenting single works, films, readings and discursive events, Index 19 is a space for dialogue with surrounding communities and visitors.
