Come work with us on the Index Teen Advisory Board! We have paid positions for 15-20 year olds at one of Sweden’s most exciting konsthalls. As a member of Index Teen Advisory Board you are an integral part of Index, by contributing to our program and planning. We would like to hear what’s interesting to you. What artists would you like to see visit Stockholm? What kind of events would you like to do? Are there fun or interesting initiatives run by young people that you would like to see in the gallery? Do you want to do poetry workshops? Festivals? Reading circles? Exhibitions?
The Index Teen Advisory Board meets a couple of times per year, after school hours, on evenings and weekends.

Roaming Writing Sessions

Cullberg Talks is a new series to discuss dance with the public, three times per year. Dancers of Cullberg Baletten talk with scholars from the professional field and the audience. The first talk will be about “work”, together with philosopher, dance and theater researcher, Bojana Kunst. The discussion will be hosted by Cullbergbaletten’s dancers Samuel Draper, Katie Jacobson and Daniel Sjökvist. Further events are planned for August and November 2016.More |
Continuing on from the writing workshops begun in Index’ Autobiography exhibition, the Roaming Writing Sessions are practical writing workshops and group critique. The workshops roam through Stockholm, using locations beyond the gallery as a starting point for reflection on the use of text in artists’ practice. Taking residence in Telefonplan Biblotek during April, a small group of writers gather, write and reflect on the use of text in their practice. Limited places, RSVP required. More |
THISWAY– is the first major exhibition in Sweden by British conceptual artist Stephen Willats. Over the past year, Willats has worked closely with Index on this newly commissioned project, developed in collaboration with a group of residents in Stockholm. Based on personal stories and images of objects and views with individual significance, the work is interested in the larger dynamic of transformation, in which the personal intersects with socioeconomic conditions. Join Index learning team for a zine-making workshop on Diagrammatics, Sat 16 April and Sat 30 April, 14:00 – 17:00.
