Review: Fina Miralles by Ulrika Stahre, Aftonbladet

In Aftonbladet, Ulrika Stahre opens her article like this: “During the Franco regime in Spain, a married woman was not allowed to travel without her husband’s consent. The Catholic Church controlled morality. During this time, the first half of the 1970s, the Catalan artist Fina Miralles (born 1950) does a performance where she slowly walks through the city – with shoes whose soles are cut that stamp her name. FINA is followed by MIRALLES, stamped on a muddy road, written in water on a dry sidewalk.”
