Review: Alva Willemark and Sybrig Dokter by Milou Allerholm, Dagens Nyheter

In her article published on DN, critic Milou Allerholm reflects on Alva Willemark’s and Sybrig Dokter’s exhibition at Index, CAPABLE OF RETURNING HOME.

Allerholm writes, “Willemark’s and Sybrig’s work is an ongoing investigation of the body’s experiences and memories in relation to others and to the loaded place called “home”. In addition, upon reflection of the work, Walking a Home, Allerholm observes, “The most interesting thing here, paradoxically, is what happens in the imagination: the map and hypothetical possibilities that emerge from viewing these acts from a distance.”
