Film: The Swedish Troll Factory by Nathalie Gabrielsson

The Swedish Troll Factory is a new film by artist and founder of the Kybernein Institute, Nathalie Gabrielsson and the researcher Peter Sköld. The film is currently exhibited through the online streaming platform DIS.

The Swedish Troll Factory presents a narrative following the process during the past 40 years around the dismantling of the Swedish welfare model, resulting in budget cuts for fundamental social sectors such as healthcare and education. The film presents how the process has been manipulated by political constructions and decisions from which financial and business sectors have profited.

The documentation and interviews presented in the film are a continuation of the research Gabrielsson exhibited at Index in 2020 in THE CAMPAIGN.
