Workshop: Diagrammatics #2

‘The diagram is a dynamic picture, a model in a dynamic state.’ Stephen Willats

With a short introduction to cybernetics and the diagramming techniques employed by artist Stephen Willats, this generative workshop invites participants to create diagrams for themselves. Participants shall look at social, cultural and political exchanges from their own lives and map them using the tools of the diagram. With reference to Willats’ short publication ‘The Diagram as a Speculative Modelling Tool in Art Practice’(2007) and book ‘Artwork as Social Model’ (2012).
