Andreas Korsar: LITE LIK DIG

17 March–18 April 2004

“Korsár shows drawings and cartoons. The style is teenager-like and the tone is low-key. The implied or unspoken, represented by the emptiness and whiteness around the pencil-drawn, sometimes colored figures, practically plays a major role. In the book ‘Sträcker sig efter telefonen’ (published in connection to the exhibition), where Korsár is responsible for the pictures and Jonas Sundvall for the texts, the manipulative words and gestures, the hypocrisy and the banal egoism in everyday life are highlighted in a sensitive and fine-tuned way. A drawing art to consume slowly, rather than to read quickly.”
