“Downstairs in the same gallery, one of Europe’s most mysterious artists is on display: the Dutchman Aernout Mik. He creates films without actual storylines but with all the more question marks. Three older men are boxing in a kitchen in the movie ‘Kitchen’. It was one of the highlights of last summer’s Venice Biennale. In ‘Fluff’ I do not know what is happening, the more you see, the more enigmatic the whole scene appears. Empty mystification? No, I don’t think so. You are drawn into a strange condition. The question is whether you will ever get out of it.”
